Halton Brats 50yrs on!!

On the 15th Jan 1964 the 106 entry started their RAF apprenticeships at RAF Halton. Today 70 of the group and many wives met up to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Some had not seen one another since they left Halton at the end of their 3yr training to be posted to RAF stations all over the world.

B was one of the “brats” as they were affectionately called. It was interesting for me to meet people who I only knew by name and see if I recognised them from the photos taken when they were all skinny kids young men.

We all had a great evening and I predict that there will be a few sore heads in the morning!!

PS taking photographs of this lot was like “herding cats”!!!
