Petersfield Square

I popped into town to do my weekly food shopping this morning. The square was very quiet. There is a twice weekly market held here on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
This rare monumental memorial statue in Petersfield square is William lll, modelled on the statue of Marcus Aurelius (c200AD). It was cast in lead by John Cheere in 1753 and in 1952 was registered as an ancient monument.
