for old times' sake

This is all that is left of a mighty marri tree that had a 9 metre rope swing on it. We loved the tree and the fun we had on the swing. We had no idea how little of the tree trunk was left, thanks to the termite nest within it. There was less than 6 cm thickness holding it all up! Still we had a magnificent bonfire, made an "art installation", had loads of firewood that winter, and still left most of the trunk to become habit for wee creatures.
