Maple in the Kitchen

Maple is a lover of food. Broccoli is among her all time favorites. Maple will not shake your hand simply because you've issued the "shake" command. Promise her broccoli, however, and she'll shake with wild-eyed abandon. This morning I was getting my lunch ready and left a broccoli stem on the counter. Maple stood like this for at least 20 minutes as I finished my coffee and read the paper. I love this crazy dog and I'm happy she's as neurotic about food as I am. If only she was a little taller, I'd train her to do the dishes.
