DDW January Challenge #15 Green

We took the dogs to Fir Island today for their walk. On one side of the trail we trek lies Crest Island, across a piece of marsh land. Opposite are abundant green fields, one of which you can see here. A few minutes into the walk, snow geese suddenly rose from the field to our left in a swirling cloud. They flew en masse to the small inland bay where the Skagit river waters meet the sound. There they lit upon the waters and sent up a cacophony of squawks and honks that accompanied us the entire time we were there. It was a beautiful afternoon.
