Showing her teeth (and an announcement)

This alligator at Grassy Waters Preserve was baring her teeth because people were working on a shade house right next to where she rests. She kept swimming by and showing her teeth to intimidate them.

This will likely be my last visit to Grassy Waters. I have accepted a job in Phoenix, Ariz., and will be moving shortly. I'm going to miss this beautiful nature preserve with its birds and alligators.

But Arizona is my home state, and it's got beautiful deserts and mountains. I will be able to continue taking great photos there. I look forward to it.
