Spring Rain

It was too wet to go out with a camera today so I took this photo through a kitchen window. This plum tree came up several years ago and I left it because I like the foliage. I thought it was a bronze plum, a common feral that has hopelessly sour fruit, but last year it had a few plums on and they were sweet and juicy. Better still, they were ready to eat after the early plums and before the late ones. This season it has hundreds of little plums set, but, as they say, it doesn't pay to count your chickens.
