Mmmarmalade
A quick blip today. Marmalade making is quite a lengthy process, and although there are a number of possible shortcuts, I prefer the old-fashioned way. The bitter oranges which arrive in the UK at this time of year do not keep well so have to be transformed fairly quickly into marmalade, although they can be frozen and used later. I use a fairly simple, traditional recipe, but add a few spoonfuls of whiskey at the end. One beauty of marmalade making is that the whole house smells delicious during the process. There are a few oranges left over, which may well be transformed into Marmalade Vodka.
