Normous couldn't understand why I would want an iPad but in the end I persuaded him it was a good idea. I do spend a lot of time with it, reading the news, playing various solitaires and Scrabble against far away friends and reading all the journals on blipfoto of course. After a few months Normous decided that perhaps he would have one too, and I am delighted to say he is enjoying it immensely. He reads the news, plays bridge, shoots at goal at rugby and here he is, playing Spider solitaire. On his recliner, with the cat sharing the space, what could be better.
This is an emergency blip. I was in Leatherhead today so I photographed the wrought iron installations in the middle of the town. Last November I blipped one of four roundels that depict transport in and out of Leatherhead and promised that in time I would show you all four. For some stupid reason today I took only one of them, and when I got home I found it was the same one as I took last time! Curses! Now you will have to wait until next week when I go back to collect the new spectacles that I was measured for today.
I made my marmalade today. It looks good, but the proof is in the eating.
