Great balls of fire

Spent a lovely morning in the company of girlie expat friends having breakfast.

Over many coffees, scrambled eggs (with and without bacon), croissants, brötchen and more ham and cheese than we could finish, we put the world around us to rights. Girlfriends are the best!

Tonight it's the English pub quiz, with a difference. For one and one month only we have an American imposter stand in quiz master (mistress in actual fact). I'm hoping (in an evil little corner of my mind) that our normal (English) quizmaster, who has set the questions, has included lots of place names that the non English struggle with, like 'Edinburgh', 'Gloucester', 'Salisbury' and maybe even 'Alrewas'... I'll report back!
