My Lucky Week

It's less than a week since I blipped the kingfisher so I was very surprised today to be visited by Lesley the lesser spotted woodpecker. I don't know whether it's male or female, hence the name!

My bird blips can only go downhill from now on, as I can't imagine seeing anything more exotic in this area! Even the heron doesn't visit anymore since he's eaten all the fish we once had in the pond :-(

With this shot I had time to change my lens but wasn't able to retrieve my tripod from the conservatory as this would have disturbed Lesley, I know it doesn't take much. Therefore this shot was freehand so not as clear as it could have been........next time I'll be prepared!!
