hot day on the mall

16th street mall, that is. A father and his 2 year old daughter were grazing in the grass by their hotel late morning and without the help of a friendly cab driver with an African accent, i wouldn't have grabbed so many shots. He actually asked the father before I could, if I could take pictures of the daughter. We had a brief conversation about the hot weather, the need for courage when being a photographer and how cool my scooter was. I was immediately drawn to the cab driver whose name I did not catch and his accent. How soothing it was, while in the shade of the buildings of downtown. I felt home. I felt good.

I did get the email address for the father so I can send him the pictures. I feel better now, after the comments of my last post.
