Winter storms bring accidents.

See the flakes in large.

This morning, my weather app said, chance of snow: 100%. Looks like it was right. As the afternoon started, the snow started as well. Before I left for my physical therapy appointment, it snowed about 3 inches in around an hour. On the way home, I rounded a curve in the road (on a 55 mph road) to find a truck stopped at the end of a long line of cars. Visibility and road conditions were/are terrible and a car had lost control and collided head-on with a school bus. Fortunately, it appeared that everyone (except the car) made it through the accident. It was lucky for the folks in the car that the bus stopped their out of control progress... they crashed just a few feet from the lake that this road runs along side. (They wouldn't have been the first car to sink in that lake.) We crawled along at 25- 30 mph the rest of the way home and there were several times that I had trouble seeing the vehicle in front of me. I'm very glad to be home.

It's still snowing; every time I let the dogs out they come in looking like they've been in a white slushy machine. There is a winter storm warning alert until 10:00 am tomorrow... It'll be interesting to see what the driveway looks like by morning!

Just incase you missed seeing a cute face, I posted Fred getting dusted with snow as the storm started. Quite a different day from yesterday's warmer, sunnier conditions!

Think warm thoughts if you're around here, think cool thoughts if you're in Australia... crazy weather...
