Clearcut

“Clearcut” by Michael Brophy (2012 gouache on paper, 10x11”), courtesy of Laura Russo Gallery.

Slimy is today's DDW challenge.

Clearcutting is a dastardly, one might even say slimy, thing to do to our beautiful Oregon forests, but Michael Brophy's elegantly limited palette and masterful mark-making reveal the beauty even in this destruction.
