"waterfront drunk"

A papier-mache mask hanging on the wall of a social worker colleague.

Sadly the artist is deceased.
He was a homeless person with no formal training in art.
This was his self portrait. The title is his as well.

It doesn't show well in the photograph but there is a tear in his left eye.

Subsequent to making this mask he did go on to have some local success making and selling other works.

I consider this a masterpiece of modern art.
