Today my flatmate taught me that this what a Lychee actually looks like! I'd previously only witnessed them in a sticky, shelled form in Chinese restaurants. Who knew? Well I feel much better informed now and I plan to buy some from the local market. I'm pretty sure your average supermarket in the UK doesn't sell them...
