Homeward Bound

So our trip has ended and this is a photo from the air over the Atlantic Ocean. It's hard to wrap my head around crossing time zones and losing or gaining hours. Coming home we arrived not too long after the time as we left!

There are lots of jet lag tips out there. The two I like the best are staying hydrated and keeping your meals aligned with where you are. For example, if you arrive at 5 a.m., but your normal breakfast is 8 a.m., wait until 8 to have breakfast. The airline may offer breakfast around 4 a.m. and it is tempting to have some. This last tip came from our oldest son and it really seems to work.
