2014 Festival Poster

To announce and launch the Yorkshire Festival 2014, a huge banner was unfurled yesterday and placed prominently on a slope beside Lower Laithe Reservoir near Haworth, in the heart of Bronte Country, by Yorkshire Water’s parent company, Kelda Group, sponsors of the Festival. The 100 day cultural and arts festival will herald the arrival of the Yorkshire stages of this summer’s Tour de France cycle race, and has been arranged by the organisers of the Tour de France Grand Depart. It will showcase the work of some of the region’s talented creative artists and will run from 27 March until the Grand Depart in Leeds on July 05. In today’s sunshine, the banner viewed beautifully from Penistone Hill in our lovely Yorkshire countryside.
