Cumbria Here I Come

Two weeks on

Its been a whole two weeks since I collected Misty from the farm and I thought I'd do a little update mainly for my benefit to look back on at some point in the future.

The two weeks has gone really quick and she's been no bother at all and has fitted in very well. I have to admit I didn't know what to expect considering she lived outside previously. I think I can safely say that she's enjoying her home comforts! She's fine in the car now and jumps in and out quite keenly, a bit too keen sometimes. She's been to work with me as well and was very good. She is fond of Sasha cat and likes to follow her around and hasn't been bothered when Sasha has plonked herself on the dog bed, well there is plenty of room!

She's great off the lead and is very responsive at recall. She's still petrified at meeting people and dogs out walking and has started to bark at them, which she did this morning and I really hope that this will stop in due course. She has a playful streak in her so we usually have a mad five minutes on the floor during the day which is lots of fun. Oooh nearly forgot, today my neighbour popped over for a few minutes and Misty greeted her very enthusiastically and then picked up a plastic bone which was lying on the grass and ran off with it. That's the first time she's done anything like that so really pleased about that. She's also getting cheekier by the day which I love. She really is a lovely lovely dog who is currently fast asleep probably dreaming about her next meal!

Today's blip of Misty was taken on the marsh this afternoon. I really wanted an action shot but was using my old Canon camera which is quite noisy which madam took exception to!
