Belated Happy New Year

I was up early today and knew it would be the last time I could blip this sign as the decorations are due to be dismantled today. I am interested in the minor cultural differences that differentiate European countries. Kissing is a far more usual form of greeting here and that is well known. Saying 'Bonjour' as an introduction to a request in a shop is far more important here than in the UK. I have noticed also that wishing a Happy New Year does not carry on for long in the UK but here may continue all month. It can be important to appreciate these nuances.
It was the conversation class this afternoon and I took along some listening exercises. Someone brought along a clock for repair. Clocks seem to follow me everywhere!
