Midgley School

This is Midgley Junior & Infants School. The school I attended, over fifty years ago, from age five to eleven. There is now an extension on the back of the school, which lucky is not in view, from this angle. (I will blip it sometime, and you will see what I mean)
It was heated then by a coke fuelled boiler. I remember, when there had been a delivery of coke, we used to have so much fun playing on it. ( we must have got filthy)
This was before a couple of the older boys, had to shovel it down the Shute, into the cellar. Can you imagine if they had to do that these days.
