Birds of a feather flock together

It's very true especially at this time of year that birds flock together. The finches definitely seem to gather and I often see goldfinches and chaffinches feeding along side each other. The oyster catchers fly over in small groups and today I saw geese flying in their usual v shape over the Firth.
Ken, our pheasant seems to be doing his exercises every day as he stretches up to reach the fat balls. It's quite comical to watch as he tries to keep his balance.
Several times the sparrow hawk has zoomed past the window but has nt stopped and has nt caught anything yet.

Back to Brownies tonight so might need my earplugs as they are always extra excited on the first session back.
