Mail's here!

Here's the mail it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes I want to wail.... MAIL!!! (from the children's show: "Blues Clues")
I can't help but think of this song every time I see this sight.

I always know when the mail arrives; by "Roxie" jumping up, barking & greeting the mailman. She is the neighborhood lab, she belongs to the owner of the barbershop 2 doors down. Most of the time she just lays in the doorway or on the sidewalk out front, greeting those who come & go; including me when I get to work every morning. She is always so happy, and runs up to me like she was waiting for me. It is the best way to start the day, always makes me smile. She leans into me for her morning scratch, and after we've had our morning "talk", she goes back to her rightful spot.

Sometimes it really is the simple things that make us appreciate the other great things we have in our life. It is in these moments that I'm reminded to be forever grateful, and to never take anything for granted.

Today I am thankful for "Roxie", she truly is a bright spot in my daily work routine.
