Goldfinch on Moss
Much though I could spend all day on photography I have a few major projects that really need my attention as well as the normal day to day run of the mill housekeepery things.
Weather chilly, bright start turned to rain so we weren’t tempted out. What to blip then? Birds feeding well in the garden and on the feeders. Small flocks of goldfinches, about 8 – 12 come several times a day. Its probably the same flock but difficult to say. They normally feed on the sunflower hearts in the feeders and at the moment they are also feeding on the teazles. Today they surprised us by going up on the shed roof and seemed to be feeding on the moss seeds.
