Tikka Masala

What a treat! Came home from the office and Marie had prepared dinner!

She went shopping this afternoon and bought all the ingredients for a vegetarian Tikka Masala, including gluten-free naan with herbed butter. Everything was cooked from scratch and served hot and fresh when I got in. It was delicious! I felt so spoiled - and very sad that she had to fly home to Oslo tonight. It was so lovely to have her home!

In other happenings: my older son started a 2-week internship at an Internet service provider. He loved his first day.

My boss was in town and we had meetings in the afternoon. Then late this evening (after dinner & dropping Marie at the airport) I joined her and a team of colleagues from the UK at a restaurant in Düsseldorf. Of course I had already eaten, but I enjoyed a glass of Rioja while my coworkers sampled traditional German fare. We'll meet again Thursday in Köln.
