Glaucous Gulls

Not one but two Glaucous Gulls were on the stinking festering mass of the decaying Sperm Whale that is, amazingly enough, still on the beach. These two (one is a first winter bird, the other an adult) were having a bit of an altercation. I can tell you from my experience of ringing Great Black-backed Gulls that you DO NOT want to be pecked by one of these!
