I attended the New Year Reception of the commune tonight. Many nice people there, good wine and a more or less interesting speech of the mayor. I heard about some good news for the projects for our reconstruction at work. (I was the only person present from the staff - Ha!).

Though it was great to have been invited, I felt I needed some fresh air after leaving. That's when I spotted the fountain and the sculpture next to it. The commune is famous for a Luxembourg champion in cycling and the sculpture honors him (Nicolas Frantz who won the French Tour de France in 1927 and 1928.)
