Tramadol Days
Yep, those 'No smoking allowed in the hospital grounds' signs work a treat.
After more than three weeks of being ill, and unable to make it out of the door for another surgery appointment this morning, the doctor came out for a home visit, poked and prodded, hummed and hawed, then booked a ride in a special NHS taxi to the hospital for Samantha. He then jabbed some Tramadol and other drugs into her to ease the journey, which kicked in pretty quickly and pretty hilariously and had us in completely inappropriate fits of giggles with her antics and random conversations. By this point she was refusing to go anywhere in an ambulance, believing herself to be a complete fraud.
Long story short, we arrived on what seemed to be one of the busiest days ever up here (can't believe it could be like that every day), she had a clinical assessment made that seems to be pointing to rather painful kidney stones, had various fluids taken and tested and was then told to head off home and come back tomorrow for some scans. Now home, via the local chip shop (after days of not eating, the Tramadol wearing off had brought on a welcome bout of the munchies and she was craving a fish supper) and flaking out in front of the TV. Great to have her home though, the prospect of a night away was bringing on a serious bout of petted lipidness.
Now everything seems to heading back to a bit of normality, I'll maybe be able to catch up with everybody on here and elsewhere - it's not been much of a priority recently and appreciate all those that have commented without any reciprocation.
Tomorrow though. Knackered now.
