Gnarled, twisted and beautiful

Taken in Palm Springs, California atop San Jacinto Peak. There are extraordinary views to be had all around and gorgeous hiking trails. I loved that there were lightning struck trees, gnarled logs and other interesting features to look at rather than them being cleared away for a "tidier" hike.
