The Purple One

Apart from first thing this morning, when the sun was shining, the weather decided to head down hill to a point when I was ready to take a picture today, all that I was greeted with was dull grey mucky skies.

There wasn't even much of differentiating cloud cover that I could have got an interesting black and white image, so I decided to head indoors and try my shooting "skills" (ahem your pushing that a bit..ed) on some of the various plants that we have.

I would like to experiment a lot more with indoor lighting and try to create some nice effects with different subjects...but for today its one of the hyacinths that are growing in their pots by the dining room window..
