Stroll around the block

As it was a nice sunny day today and definitely warmer outside than in and it was a "holiday" for the Prophet's birthday, so no work for my husband. We went for a short walk around the block. Not being exactly sure where the block went as we haven't walked in this direction since we moved in, the road didn't go where we thought it did, but no problem after a few "dead ends" and narrow lanes we found our way.

This is a typical village street here in Bahrain, not exactly picturesque but has its own individual "charm". This is the village of Al Markh. We also stopped briefly to watch the local lads playing barefoot football and I couldn't decide whether to use that as a blip or not, but when I looked at the pictures this one looked better.
