Winter Haze on the Bosphorus
Normally varying shades of blue and teal, for the past few days the Bosphorus has been shrouded by daily mist, fog and yes, smog. It is a winter inversion and the air is troublesome. While making fine fodder for a few fulsome sunrises and sunsets, the day can bring this sheen to all. We hope for rain or preferably snow in February as the reservoirs will suffer and then so shall we.
This shot is of the Asian shore looking south from the Bosphorus Bridge in mid to late afternoon.
