Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

MORNING BY THE LOCH

When we had delivered the VIP to school the sun came out so the Professor and I went to the loch for a walk. I had high hopes for a wee moss garden that the Prof pointed out to me (he has such a good eye), but it did not come out as well as I wanted instead I give you the usual birds, berries and bulrushes. (I know, they aren't bulrushes, but I have a weakness for alliteration).

The Whooper swans will be leaving us in a few weeks for Siberia*, so I suppose it is only fair to let them make an appearance.

* 'The fools!' interjects the Professor, 'I hope they are taking their long woollen drawers.'
