Lulu ice-skating
What a pleasure it was to introduce Lulu to iceskating today. She loved it. She used the frame for the first half hour and then was confident to skate without it. There was a girl of around 12 doing some pretty fancy figure skating and she caught Lulu's attention. Next thing Lulu is trying to do some of the moves, starting with circles and then trying to spin. She managed to stay on her feet throughout which was no mean feat considering it was her first experience on ice. It was all good fun and I entertained myself with my camera...attempting to pan and get some sense of movement in the photos. Lulu's skating was more skilled than my panning.
I had suggested that she pack a change of clothes to wear home because you can end up quite wet if you fall over a number of times. Well she didn't need the change and she was steady on her feet throughout.
Lulu has had a nice weeks holiday in Perth with a movie, a sleep-over at her cousins, a trip to the museum, a swim at the beach and finally the iceskating. Nice memories for her to take back to Margaret River and Dunsborough. Tomorrow we head south, taking Miss Emily with us for a few days and then I return for a month or so in Perth. Happy days.
