"I'm NOT getting wet!"

Poodles are water dogs. They swim. The bring back the birds shot by their owner.

However, somebody clearly forget to tell that to this young standard poodle who was being exposed to the water at Snells Beach this morning by his/her young owner. "Exposed" is perhaps moot. The poodle made very certain that no water actually touched her/him.

The young owner looked amused at this point, and the poodle looks rather hangdog. My next photo was taken as she started towing the boogie board back to shore, whereupon poodle was standing up, almost pointing towards the shore, tail up, and clearly happier. Took a bit of time to decide which one; however the consensus was this one.

Took this photo while on my morning run, accompanied by tsuken. I had delayed going out to try and time my passage past the southern end of the beach where the godwits feed. Tsuken initially decided he would take an earlier run, and then chose to wait for me. NO godwits (kuaka) anywhere. Another day perhaps.
