Farewell dinner

Today we were invited to two farewell "eatings".

First was a brunch in honour of a family friend who lives abroad and has been visiting over the holidays.

The second was at my parents house where this picture was taken.

My sisters bf is leaving tomorrow for Sweden where he will be an exchange student for the next semester. So the family met up for a farewell dinner. He cooked a delicious beef Wellington, but instead of beef he had reindeer which my dad hunted this fall. Served with it was all kinds of vegetables and yummy stuff.
Last but not least were homemade ice creams that his friend made and home made cookies that my dad made for Christmas.

Food, food, family, fun and conversations with people you love. Good send off right?
