the rainbow and the thorn

heavy rain for most of the day, but a ray of sunshine and a display of rainbows as I drove over to BAT's to pick her up.
We went to see The Desolation of Smaug. A visual feast of course and some of the - er - adjustments - to the story seemed almost to make sense, but the last half hour was just too much..
Enjoyed it though, and it was a nice restful Sunday.
