Aurora Borealis

This photo is taken at about 01.00 am on a freezing cold and windy night somewhere north of Reykjavik. The forecast was for a major display. What we got was beautiful but not as bright to the naked eye as it looks here - 30 second exposure. Although the aurora were brighter before and after I took this it was very windy and sadly most are blurry. But hey, I feel so lucky to have seen them at all on a 3 day jaunt to Iceland. We were in a small tour of 12 people , most of whom were not photographers but everyone was very patient with me.
