Frosty Morning

Woke up to a thick frost this morning so I headed out early just as the sun was rising. I LOVE walking in the frost, especially when it's so thick it looks almost like a dusting of snow, and every step is crunchy. It was a beautiful morning and the sunrise was spectacular. I could have posted any number of colourful sunrise pictures. But this one I like because it shows not only the frost, but also a lake which has formed because of the recent flooding. You can see my village behind the trees.

I'm glad we went out walking when we did. The weather soon deteriorated. The clouds gathered and it became a dark and gloomy (and much warmer) day, with heavy rain later on. We enjoyed the best part of the day!
