Reach for the stars...

These narcissus bulbs were a birthday present from my team. The box said they'd grow in 8-10 weeks. Six weeks after planting they're nearly a metre tall and very well endowed with flowers. Even our abandonment for 10 days over Christmas didn't stunt their growth. Green fingers or luck?
