The pigeon hotel

I was up early today and went to the shops before many people were about as most didn't open until 11am being Sunday.

Chester has quite a large pigeon contingent they roost all over the city on roofs etc. and are generally discouraged but a few years ago this giant pigeon coop was built next to the walls and is a designated feeding area, I don't think they take much notice of only feeding there though.

Today we went with son J to see an old army friend of MrT's dad who lives a few miles away he is in his eighties and can't get out & about now, we had a nice afternoon chatting with him. Then stopped off at a Harvester for a meal on our way home.
