Farewell Mercedes

As some of you Edinburgh blippers probably know that Mercedes the polar bear is heading up to her new enclosure at the Highland Wildlife Park north of Perth. Her enclosure is supposed to be about 4 acres which is good I think for her. Mercedes has been at the Edinburgh Zoo since 1984. She was scheduled to be shot in Canada for roaming into towns for food. Which happens with extremely dangerous animals like this. Luckily for Mercedes she was spared and with the financial help of Mercedes the car company she was brought to the Edinburgh Zoo. She is scheduled to be moved this Sunday the 18th of October. So all you local blippers get to the zoo to say farewell to this magnificent beast.
