mmmm cupcakes..

I'm not doing too well with the whole blipping every day thing but I am fairly relaxed about it.

On Friday night Steve's mum arrived for the weekend. We hadn't seen her this Christmas so she had brought her presents for us which was very nice :) In addition she brought us some gorgeous champagne glasses from a local shop in Herefordshire.

Today I attempted my hazelnut cupcakes again - the past couple of times in the new house I just haven't quite figured out the oven but finally I got it right so I am pleased with the output.

The lovely cakestand they are on was a gift from Steve's sister for Christmas and it is nice to have a chance to use it. These cakes will be off to work tomorrow and I hope my colleagues enjoy them.

The weekend has gone reasonably fast but it was a lovely one. Wine, food and lovely company.

Re DDW-Jan challenge when I bake I get a lot of thinking time - it is a reflective activity.
