Tablet or Phone?

A walk on the beach had me finding this old 'tablet or phone'. Not sure what era it is from but it sure is heavy.

It is perfectly sculptures for the human hand but weights a little too much.

It now sits on my desk at home, on top of a book just in case gravity fails or something like that.
