Headless Bishop

In our local church of Le Puy Notre Dame there is an amazing 16th century carved alter stall called a Misericordia. The detail is incredible and many of the carvings represent local donors to the church during the epoch. One of the stalls shows a monk drinking wine out of a barrel and this has become the symbol for the winemakers of the area. Discovered the headless bishop today - not sure if he is disgraced or whether the carver could not fit his hat on! Sorry but I've momentarily forgotten the name for a bishops hat perhaps some can remind me ! Anyway here he is!
