The rest of forever...

Christmas in Kathmandu

We left Heathrow last night and flew to Doha, arriving at around midnight and waiting for eight hours until our connection to Kathmandu. Fortunately we have Silver Privilege membership (as we have flown there so many times!) so we could eat and drink for free in the lounge. Paul and I also used his air miles to buy a mini camera, very cool and as we got it for free (instead of $110) we were most chuffed! We also picked up a tiny box of chocolates and a bottle of Baileys...yum!

We landed in Kathmandu at 4.30pm local time and walked to our hotel. I've paid for two rooms in a decent hotel so that we are close to the hotel, can have a shower and a decent bed. The only one for a long time!

We got a taxi to Thamel for dinner, yummy food and a beer too. This is the Christmas tree in the entrance to the hotel. Not bad!
