A game of hide and seek on the Water of Leith

The ducks didn't seem too bothered on the Water of Leith that they seem to have a new visitor overlooking one of their favourite hangouts. I'm sure the visitor is contemplating the possibility of fresh duck breast for tea, but equally it's hard to see how s/he could turn ideas into action so long as the ducks retain the protective cover of the running water.

It made, however, for an interesting conversation piece as we trekked down the Water of Leith for the second day in a row, this time to meet a friend for brunch in the Vintage. Brunch and chat. Nice.
