torch cactus, 8:40 am - just posted for yesterday.

The sky lit up this morning so I sat down and just took it all in. To the south (right) where you can see the color start to widened out - well, the sky was an amazing pink and coral - completely painted. Stunning. Jaw-dropping.

But it made for a lousy photo. Sometimes that happens. So what do you do? You put down the camera, take a mental snapshot, let it make an indelible mark in your mind and then you smile and completely and utterly enjoy it.

I don't think the part I shot was all that bad, either. What a great way to start the day!
