Doha Days

Someone to watch over you ....

This is Nidhal. He took me to the State Hospital today for a further health check to see if I am fit to work in Doha! (So much for all that running on the Porty Beach!) The queues of manual worker waiting in silent line, upon line, were humbling. You can see one of them in the middle distance. With my minder I was fast tracked to the very front of the queue and am now expecting my work permit to be ratified. Nidhal was also very confident that there would be no further problem. Nidhal admitted that he had worn this power dress, today, to enable me such rapid passage. It did not make me feel good about all the Nepalese and Indonesian fellow humans who had, in my view, equal right to being fast tracked.

Thank you to everyone who kindly dropped by on my 500th Blip, yesterday. Much appreciated. The propulsion into the Blip Spotlight was also a complete surprise! Thank you all very much indeed.
