Small Town Beauty

I should really take myself to downtown Geneva, Illinois more often. It reminds me of a coastal town in California. There's no ocean around here but the feel is the same. It's a mood really. A relaxing, kick-back mood. I was in a hurry though. I needed a baby gift for a shower this weekend. This weekend it's a shower for my friend's daughter's baby.

The weather was cold and damp and drizzly and gray. Didn't see the sun once today; but I was running too fast to have noticed even if it had been shining. Tomorrow is QuickBooks studying and PowerPoint work.

I'm doing a short presentation at my chamber leads group this Friday morning and then Monday morning I'm doing a much bigger version of the Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know about Soapmaking presentation. I'm nervous. But there's no time for that.

I need a vacation. Soon. One where you relax in a hammock on the beach in the warm tropical climate...somewhere.
